Quick Order
The Quick Order page allows for easy, flexible and speedy ordering. This is an effective tool when you know the item number. You can enter the item number or a partial item number to place it on the order. If you only enter a partial item number, you can select from a list of items that begin with that number.
You can also change the settings for the Quick Order page. For example, you can specify to add the item by pressing Enter. After you do, the system automatically displays a new line for you to retrieve the next item number. This greatly speeds up the Quick Order process. For more information, see Quick Order Settings
Click Shop in the Quick Order section of the page. The Quick Order page opens.
Click the Item # box and enter the item's number. You may enter up to 23 characters. If you do not know the item number enter the first part of the number, 100, for example.
Note: You can add the item to the Quick Order list with a quantity of one by pressing Enter after entering the item number, or with a different quantity by entering the quantity and then pressing Enter, if you have set the Enter key to add a line. The system automatically displays a new line for you to retrieve the next item number.
Click the Quantity box and enter the quantity of the item to order.
If the multiple department feature is enabled for your site, you can click the Dept box to select the department for this item. When you click the Dept box and enter the department number, a list of available department numbers opens so you can select the correct one.
Click the Comments/Description box and enter comments about the item or an item description. Comments print on the invoice. You can specify up to a maximum of 50 characters in this box.
To view additional item information, click the item's description link shown in the Comments/Description column. The Product Information page opens. For details, see Product Information.
You can save the item to your shopping cart or you can add it to a MyFavorites list.
To save the item to your shopping cart, click Save Order to Cart. The My Shopping Cart page opens. See My Shopping Cart.
To add the item to a MyFavorites list, click Add to Favorites Lists. The Adding an Item to MyFavorites page opens. See Add an Item to a MyFavorites List.
Note: If you retrieve an invalid item and attempt to add it to your cart or to your favorites list, the system notifies you that the item is invalid. You can click the line item, or you can click Ignore to continue.
